BATESVILLE – Ellen Barrett's seventh home run of the spring set South Dearborn softball off and rolling toward a Class 3A sectional title game rematch Wednesday.

The talented sophomore's first-inning high-fly blast to left field, with classmate Jessica Benton aboard, staked the Lady Knights to a 2-0 lead in an eventual 7-1 semifinal round victory over Greensburg.

Coach Pat Murphy's defending Sectional 29 champions thus earned a shot at their first back-to-back titles in school history. They'll meet last year's runner-up, host Batesville, an 8-0 winner over Lawrenceburg earlier Wednesday, in tonight's (Thursday) 6 p.m. final.
